Day 2: across the ND plains

We drove across the state of North Dakota today. Did you know that gas pumps stop pumping gas at $100? We stopped twice for fuel and each time we had to do two credit card transactions.

We stopped off at the Painted Canyon Visitor Center (Badlands of North Dakota) to enjoy the views of Theodore Roosevelt National Park.
Kevin did not want to stop because he was on a mission to get to the Glendive Fossil and Dinosaur Museum in MT. Heather asked if we could take 10 mins to stop and set the stop watch...from exit ramp to entrance ramp it took 12 mins 10 secs.  Kevin agreed it was worth it!

We remembered that we'll drive over the timezone line, so we gained an hour going from Central Time to Mountain Time. Which meant we had time to stop at the Museum in Glendive, MT before they closed at 5pm MT.

We made it to Glasgow, MT - Shady Rest RV Park around 8:30pm.  Heather had called after we left the museum and got the last RV site.  It was a long day of driving - Kevin did a great job!  After getting settled in at site #3, we watched a movie and crawled into bed.

Miles Driven: 827
gas: $322.96
food: $43.61
entertainment/souvenirs: $33.50

  1. Thanks for posting all of this Heather. It's so fun to be "part" of your adventure. Give those boys a big hug from me (including Kevin) :-)
